Paps suspension reduced

Sox appealed the suspension which was originally three games. Got it reduced to just two. The article on ESPN Boston said that league officials reduced it after "looking at video of the incident."

Hello? Shouldn't they have done that already before they made the original ruling? I feel like they shouldn't just take peoples word for it that Pap bumped the ump. Cause if you remember, which you probably don't, I blogged about this incident a while ago and Pap clearly got baited. He was not the instigator. The ump is the bad guy. Did he get fined/suspended at all?

Listen, I hate bashing sports officials and I hate listening to other people do it. It seems juvenile. Like this isn't Little League anymore. Grow up. But sometimes it just feels good to blame someone. And this ticks me off that we're losing our closer for 2 games where we might need him, all because this ump wanted to prove his manliness. Seriously? We're trying to become the winningest team in the history of baseball. We don't have time for this nonsense.

Take a lap.
