But seriously the very WORST thing we could do is get the boo-birds going. This team is just as shell shocked as we are. Theres no need to bring them any lower than they already are. It's not like it would serve as any sort of wake up call. The wake up call they need is their good old, faithful 10th man. So be as loud and raucous and possible. Make fun of Jeter cause his own team wouldn't sign him for a while. Yell at A-Rod and ask him if he wants some popcorn.

Ok theres no need to be giving these guys any standing ovations. But it's like when a student fails a test. If he cares at all about doing well, he fully understands that he messed up. He doesn't need to hear about it from his teacher, his parents, other students, and so on. That student understands he needs to pick it up if he wants to go to a good school. These guys need to understand they need to pick it up to be in contention.
This is a tough division, theres no denying it. But I think we all know Baltimore isn't going to keep this up for very long. Tampa Bay will pick it up as well. When it's all said and done it'll be a battle between the Yankees and the Sox. This 0-6 start, or whatever it ends up being, will be a distant memory. We won't look back at it and laugh, we'll look back and cringe. But maybe it's a good thing we're going through some trials and tribulations early. As a fan I think it helps me to tell when these guys care. Last year it was tough to tell. I felt like the whole squad had a little bit of the JD Drew syndrome going on. Straight faced, not reacting whether they hit a home run or struck out. At least now I know they care. Now I just want to see some results.
