That was funsies
The Bucks had just about everything going against them this game. Dealing with the time change, an earlier game time, and a late plane flight the last thing they needed was to face a highly motivated Boston Celtics squadron.
These deer could have benefited from some five hour energy or SOMETHING. They managed only 22 points by halftime. HELLO?! THE BUCKS EFFORT?! BARK TWICE IF YOU'RE IN MILWAUKEE!
The C's were a complete 180 from the Bucks and their own performances their last two times out. They were making better effort on defense and on the boards, ending up holding the deer to just 56, which is a Celtics franchise record.
Nenad of all people set the tone early, collecting 8 rebounds in the first quarter.
Troy Dropkick Murphy finally established a little bit of a rhythm offensively which was great to see. I definitely see him being an x-factor. He could put us over the edge in a few playoff games, just how Sheed did a few times last year.
All in all it was a very solid performance obviously, and it's always great to get the starters some rest. It'd be great if we could keep the Big 4 under 30 minutes against these sub-par teams while still scraping out the W. But theres a delicate balance there, as Chicago is right on our tails, showing no signs of slowing down.
Everyone should circle April 7 on their calendars, the next time we take on the young Bulls. A lot can change till then but that game could have a lot to do with who gets the first seed in the playoffs. I still think it's very important for the C's to finish atop the East.
