This guys had a big question mark next to his name ever since that investigation involving his father. But the reality is that Cam Newton is a legitimate NFL quarterback prospect.
He has all the skills to be an elite player at the next level. People have tried to make comparisons to Vince Young and Jamarcus Russel but he's far and away more naturally talented.
He doesn't have a slow release like Young and he clearly doesn't have the character issues of Russel.
All I've heard is that the more time people talk with Newton the more they fall in love with him. He's a real personable cat.
He has the arm strength to make all the throws in the NFL. He did struggle with the 5 step drop at the combine but he'll get more comfortable with that in time.
I think this guy could go number 3 to the Bills. We shall see.
